ACL Recovery Room

Guild-ACL-7153 copy.jpg

The average person walks 20+ miles over the course of Austin City Limits Music Festival. Between the walking & dancing to all the incredible artists, the next day can be a struggle. We wanted to help our guests and community skip the struggle bus and get back to the music. Enter our first-ever ACL recovery room.

First things first: breakfast

Breakfast tacos? Take your pick! Our friends at Artista Rosso have you covered (in queso). Grab a coffee, OJ, or mimosa and get the day off on the right foot. Most importantly, take a load off and relax in the Sky Lounge before hoofing it to Zilker Park.

Next up: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

With all the music, art exhibits, people watching, and overall fun at ACL it can be difficult to stay properly hydrated. It’s important to get hydrated early because when you feel thirsty, you’re already dehydrated. Plus, according to research from the University of Connecticut, as little as 1 % dehydration can be enough to dampen our mood and energy.

Rather than give our guests a gatorade and a pat on the back, we took it to the next level. We teamed up with IVitamin to provide on-demand IVs in our recovery room. The game has been changed.

The Necessities

If Tom Hanks had this survival kit in Castaway, he’d have lived like a king. Our ACL survival kits included:

Guild bandanas: Is it a music festival if there are no free bandanas? Rocking these ensures you look your best (like our friend to the right)

Guild lighters: iPhone flashlights have nothing on real lighters. Sing along to the power ballads like a true fan

Guild sunglasses: It’s always sunny in Austin, TX. Leave your pair of Oliver Peoples at home.
